Commitment to you and your music

We offer lessons throughout the year with specialist teachers with DBS

We provide a report if requested but prefer to discuss you or your child’s progress on a regular basis. We like to discuss during a face to face time therefore we always have a few minutes available between pupils.

We also like to plan with you a journey through the music. We offer fun, todays music as well as music from our past. We offer theory as part of the lesson leading to sitting exams from ABRSM if requested. Music theory helps with the understanding of basic music and improves playing ability.

Music examinations from ABRSM as also encouraged and worked towards where requested and recommended.

We also encourage music creation and self-development through music.

Commitment from you and or your childs’ music.

Please enjoy and encourage to play (practice)

Play is to be fun and an enjoyable time. Five minutes enjoying their playing is better than 20minutes being made to play.

Plan a practice reward system or use the practice book that we use to create a practice play session every day. Good regular playing helps to maintain the information and produce good playing. Use our holiday practice calendars.

Practice slow and correctly – before playing at speed.

Use all methods of play and practice introduced by the teacher. Variety often keeps interest and enthusiasm.

Creating your own music can be great fun and very rewarding, helping to develop all skills.

Perform at least once a week to friends or family.

Practice, play, write enjoy your music.
